Moab Arches and Rock Art

Southern Utah Wanderings 2010 | Day 5
Wednesday, October 6, 2010

Wednesday…another day and another morning of waiting in the tent until the rain stopped. Luckily, once it stopped, the sky actually started to clear up and the sun came out as we were packing up camp. From camp we headed down the Colorado River to the trailhead for Corona Arch. This hike was on my to-do list for this year and I was planning on hiking it in November, but since we were here unexpectedly I figured it would be a good time to check it out. Our goals for this day would be to find some arches, petroglyphs and pictographs near Moab that we usually bypass on our way to other destinations.

Moab BogleyFest 2009 | Friday

Friday, November 6, 2009

On Friday, I got up early and made my way to Moab to meet up with some people from Bogley who would be canyoneering that weekend. I met up with them just before they headed out for their canyons for the day. Since I wasn’t ready to start canyoneering just yet, I found out where we would be meeting for dinner and then headed out with my Jeep to do some exploring.

Southern Utah Wanderings | Day 5

Wednesday, October 7, 2009 | Starting Odometer: 144445

When I woke up today, I grabbed my camera and started shooting away 🙂 I was up before sunrise and hung out for a little while until the sun was up in the sky…well, actually behind some clouds.
