Since we were busy yesterday morning and too lazy to head out the rest of the day, we decided to drive over Baxter Pass today for a few hours. Here’s a few photos from our morning.

I wanted to get out with my Jeep for a few hours today, and ended up exploring an area of the Book Cliffs I have not been to before, just west of the Colorado/Utah state line. The roads were easy, but the scenery was great, and I didn’t see another vehicle the whole time.

With the new snow that fell over night, we decided to head over to the base of Mount Garfield to get a few photos. We also got to do a little driving in the snow. It’s just too bad we didn’t bring our sleds….we’ll have to remember that next time.

Today, Amanda and I headed to the Book Cliffs in Utah for a little day trip. We started out by heading to Crescent Junction. Instead of hopping on the interstate, we decided to take the old abandoned US Highway 6 & 50 as far as we could.

Amanda and I headed up onto Grand Mesa today for a few hours. We started out by heading up Lands End Road and stopping at the observatory. From there we headed over to Lake Carson and had some lunch.
