Just did a little after work exploring today a few miles from my house. Unfortunately, the skies did not agree with me again, tonight. Even had some snow flurries while I was out there.

Amanda and I spent part of our day today taking the tour of the Colorado National Monument. Even thought it was pretty windy and there were a lot of rain clouds overhead, we had a great time. We certainly didn’t see everything, but since it’s practically in our backyard, I’m sure we will be spending more time exploring the Monument in the future.

We just got back from the last weekend of Easter Jeep Safari in Moab a little while ago and had a great time. I must say that is is very nice to actually be able to go to Moab for just the weekend!

Here’s a few pictures from a short visit to the Fisher Towers after a snow storm on my way to Grand Junction from Moab.

First off, let me say that driving West of Denver on I-70 on a Saturday morning during ski season is a bad idea. Traffic was terrible!!! I got up early this morning and left my friend’s apartment in Denver around 7:00am to start my drive over to Moab. Aside from the very heavy traffic the drive was not too bad. This was actually my first trip on that stretch of I-70 without pulling a trailer behind me, which made the drive a little easier!
