On Saturday, Amanda and I headed out on our annual Fall Colors trip. This year we decided to do some exploring around Kebler Pass and Ohio Pass.
We started out our day by heading over to Lost Lake. We hiked up to the lake and took some photos along the way.

After our hike to Lost Lake, we were getting pretty hungry so we continued on to Crested Butte to have some lunch at the Brick Oven Pizzeria. We shared some cheesy breadsticks and a small sausage pizza. After lunch and walking around town a bit, we headed back up the Kebler Pass road and took the short side trip to Lake Irwin. We spent some time wandering around the lake and following a few spur roads in my Jeep before heading over Ohio Pass. On the other side of the pass we took a short hike into the West Elk Wilderness where we found some more golden Aspens to photograph.

A couple ‘artistic’ shots….longer exposures while moving the camera.

After playing around with the camera we headed back over Ohio Pass and started on our way back home. Before leaving Kebler Pass road, we made a quick stop along Anthracite Creek for a few more photos.

We had a great day hiking and exploring. Plus I got to play with my new wide angle lens 😉
