After visiting Coyote Buttes North a few days ago, Diane and I hiked up to High Heel Arch (aka Flame Arch and Overlooked Arch) before ending our day back at the trailhead. I had never been here before, but when I first spotted the arch it appeared that there had been a recent collapse (based on the pile of rocks below it) and it did not look how I remembered seeing photos of it. When I got back to town I looked up some previous photos of the arch and sure enough it had partially collapsed. Looking at the before and after photos you can see that it has lost a lot of rock. I wonder how much time it has left?
This is a photo I took of the arch after the collapse.

Here’s a closer took at the top portion of the arch so you can see what’s left holding it up.
