If you’ve followed my trip reports on this website over the years at all, you’ve probably noticed that searching for and photographing rock art (pictographs and petroglyphs) is a pretty big passion of mine. I spend a lot of my free time searching for rock art on the Colorado Plateau, but I also visit other areas of the southwestern United States when I have the opportunity. The favorite panels that I am consistently drawn to are the archaic pictographs, which include the Barrier Canyon Style and Grand Canyon Polychrome styles, but I also enjoy the Classic Vernal Style Fremont petroglyphs found in the northeastern corner of Utah. Below is a collection of my favorite rock art photos that I have assembled into this gallery. I hope you enjoy them!
