That’s the code for our first hidden geocache named ‘Delicate View‘ It was just approved this evening and is now ready to be found. Check it out here: http://coord.info/GC2DA96

As I mentioned in the previous post, one of my goals for this year was to hide a geocache. I’ve been slowing finding them for the last couple of years but had never hid one. I guess my main reason for not hiding one before, is because I wanted to put one in a great location. This one is located on Winter Camp Ridge which is just north of Arches National Park. The view from the end of the road is outstanding. Now we are just curious how long it will be until someone heads out that way to find it…

Here’s a few photos from yesterday while we were out hiding it.

Dang! If if known there was a geocache out there I’d have tried to log it.

We were out at the end of the road yesterday as part of the Ford Off Roadeo. We’re just following the trail guide and had no idea where we were– we got off pavement at Dome Plateau trailhead, came up Owl Draw and worked out to the end of what I now know is Winter Ridge.

Google maps had the trail, but I had to use online topo maps to nail down the place and name of the Ridge.

Put the name of the Ridge into Google and voila, your pages appeared.

Great views out there and your photography is something else.

Well, it’s not a bad place to get lost! Going back for the geocache another time would give you an excuse to spend more time in the area.
